Writing & Research

My writing focuses on the intersection of business models, operations, creativity, and design to transform legacy industries (such as fashion and finance) for a regenerative economy.

Drawing connections between daily rituals and human behaviors, and the global systems they enable, I provide insight, understanding and new perspectives on how we build capabilities, connection and culture.

My work is backed by continual research and learning in the fields of finance, business development, leadership, cultural studies and economics to understand creative consumption, capability development and systems that craft companies, industries and global supply chains.

My current research explores regenerative economics and its application to business model innovation and transformation. Using grounded theory, I continually incorporate my latest findings and proprietary frameworks into my work practice.

Grounded In Data

I incorporate GROUNDED THEORY methodology into my work process to build practice-based operational frameworks.

Organizational Wellness

Great companies are driven by more than just profit. Informed by REGENERATIVE PRINCIPLES, I identify actionable opportunities for impact.

Make Art, Not Work

With an appreciation for ARTISAN PRACTICES that generate innovation, I explore the strategies based in the everyday rituals, behaviors and actions that contribute to extraordinary outcomes.

Global Branding for Fashion Entrepreneurs

How Womenswear SMEs Design Their Companies to Grow Internationally | 2016

This research identifies the resources and capabilities utilized for brand development and internationalization of entrepreneurial womenswear designer fashion enterprises (DFEs), presenting an original contribution to knowledge using the concept of dynamic capabilities as a ‘lens’ to explore the creation of brand identity in the context of the international fashion system.

Using grounded theory methodology, this research presents a theoretical framework and a series of eight original contributions to knowledge defining the product development activities, operational resources and capabilities, dynamic brand development capabilities and processes of organizational learning that impacts brand identity and internationalization strategies for entrepreneurial fashion brands.
